Most proposal venues in Santorini sit high on the caldera cliffs. AION does something different - it sits at the old port of Fira itself, right where the boats come in, with the water a few steps away and the volcano straight ahead. A private terrace at the level Santorini forgets it has. The first time we set up a proposal dinner there, we knew this was going to become our favourite spot on the island.
Today AION is where our private dinner proposals take place - the table set by the water, the candles lit, the photographer tucked away, and the sunset doing what the Santorini sunset does.
What makes AION special for a proposal
Privacy, mostly. Up on the cliffs you share the sunset with everyone; down at the old port the terrace is yours. No crowds walking behind your table, no strangers in your photos. Just the two of you, the Aegean, and the volcano islands changing colour as the evening comes.
It is also wonderfully easy. The cable car brings you down from Fira in minutes, we handle the rest, and the whole evening unfolds in one place - the question, the tears, the champagne, the dinner.

Where exactly is AION?
At the old port of Fira (Ormos Firon), on the caldera side, right by the water - a short cable car ride below the town of Fira.
Can we have both the proposal and the dinner there?
Yes - that is exactly how our dinner proposal packages work. The question, the celebration and the dinner all happen on the same terrace.
How many guests can it host?
Up to 30, which makes it lovely for small weddings and vow renewals as well as proposals for two.
