We work with the hotel quietly behind the scenes: the celebrant, the flowers, the champagne and the photographer are all arranged before you even finish breakfast. Some couples keep it a complete secret and elope the same day they propose!
How a hotel elopement in Santorini works
A hotel elopement is usually a symbolic ceremony, which means no paperwork at all - just the two of you and your vows. It also happens to be the most private option we offer, perfect if you would rather not have an audience. If you want to end the evening with a candlelit dinner on the terrace, we know exactly how to arrange it.
What a hotel elopement includes
Every hotel elopement starts from our symbolic wedding packages: the Essential ceremony (€850) brings the celebrant, our coordinator for the hour of the ceremony, a bottle of champagne, music for your entrance and a keepsake certificate; the Superior package (€1,600) adds private transport, a photographer for one hour with 60 colour-graded pictures, a videographer and the ceremony decorations; the Premium package (€1,900) adds the bridal bouquet, the groom's boutonniere and a hairdresser at your hotel. Prices do not include VAT. At your hotel we arrange everything with the reception the day before, use your suite's own terrace or the hotel's ceremony spot, and the hairdresser of the Premium package comes to your room.
Which hotels work best
Any caldera hotel with a private terrace works; the cave suites of Imerovigli, Firostefani and Oia are the classic choice, and many hotels now have their own gazebo for ceremonies. If you have not booked yet, tell us your dates and we will say which hotels make an elopement easiest. The timing is yours: a morning ceremony before a day at the pool, or the hour before sunset with dinner on the terrace afterwards.
Do we need to tell the hotel?
We do that for you: the reception and the ceremony spot are arranged with the hotel in advance, discreetly if it is a surprise.
Can the proposal and the elopement happen at the same hotel?
Yes: the proposal on the terrace at sunset, the vows the next morning or the same evening, one team for both.
