You celebrate your marriage on the black sand of Santorini and take care of the legal part back home, whenever you like.
The beach gives your ceremony space and calm that the busy caldera villages sometimes cannot. Barefoot on the dark sand of Perissa or Perivolos, with the waves keeping time - it is simple, honest and deeply romantic.
Our symbolic wedding packages
We offer three symbolic wedding packages - Essential, Superior and Premium - starting from €850, and every one of them can be set up on the beach. What each package includes on the beach
A symbolic beach wedding is built on the same three symbolic wedding packages as every ceremony we plan. The Essential package (€850 plus VAT) is the ceremony itself: we book the date, the celebrant and the spot, guide you through the vows, stay with you for the hour of the ceremony and bring the champagne, the music for your entrance and a keepsake certificate. The Superior package (€1,600) adds an air-conditioned car for the two of you, one hour of photography with 60 colour-graded pictures, one hour of video edited into a short film, and the ceremony table decorations. The Premium package (€1,900) adds the bridal bouquet, the groom's boutonniere and a hairdresser who comes to your hotel. Extra flowers, candles, fountain fireworks after sunset, and hair and make-up for family members or bridesmaids can be added to any of them. On the sand we set the ceremony where the beach is quiet, usually away from the sunbeds, lay a red carpet or a small arch if you want one, and keep the champagne cold until the vows are done.
How a beach wedding day runs
Most couples marry in the hour before sunset, around 8 in the evening in summer and earlier in spring and autumn, when the day visitors have left and the black sand has cooled. With the Premium package the hairdresser comes to your hotel in the afternoon; the car of the Superior and Premium packages brings you to Perissa or Perivolos, or to Vlychada if you want the pale cliffs behind you; the ceremony itself takes twenty to thirty minutes; the photographer stays for an hour of pictures on the sand and at the water's edge while the light turns gold; then the car takes you to dinner on the beachfront, up at a caldera restaurant or at a private dinner by the water.
Can family and friends come to a symbolic beach wedding?
Yes. The three packages are priced for the two of you; for guests we add the extras you want, such as more flowers, hair and make-up for the bridesmaids and a dinner table afterwards. Tell us how many people are coming when you write and we suggest the right stretch of beach.
Which months are best for a beach wedding in Santorini?
May, June, September and early October: warm sea, long sunsets and fewer people on the sand. July and August work too, they are simply hotter and busier, so we set the ceremony closer to sunset. The season runs from May to October.
