A symbolic wedding at your hotel is intimacy itself: a private terrace, a caldera view, the two of you and nobody else unless you want them there. It looks and feels exactly like a wedding - vows, rings, champagne - and because it is symbolic, there is not a single form to fill in.
The logistics could not be easier. You get ready in your own suite, step outside, and everything is already waiting - the celebrant, the flowers, the photographer. Afterwards, dinner can be served right there on the terrace while the sun goes down.
Our symbolic wedding packages
We offer three symbolic wedding packages - Essential, Superior and Premium - starting from €850, and the hotel setting suits every one of them. See the full inclusions on our packages page. What each package includes at your hotel
A symbolic hotel wedding uses the same three symbolic wedding packages, with your terrace as the venue. The Essential package (€850 plus VAT) is the ceremony itself: we book the date, the celebrant and the spot, guide you through the vows, stay with you for the hour of the ceremony and bring the champagne, the music for your entrance and a keepsake certificate. The Superior package (€1,600) adds an air-conditioned car for the two of you, one hour of photography with 60 colour-graded pictures, one hour of video edited into a short film, and the ceremony table decorations. The Premium package (€1,900) adds the bridal bouquet, the groom's boutonniere and a hairdresser who comes to your hotel. Extra flowers, candles, fountain fireworks after sunset, and hair and make-up for family members or bridesmaids can be added to any of them. At the hotel the pieces fall into place by themselves: the hairdresser of the Premium package works in your suite, the celebrant and the flowers are on your terrace when you step out, and the car of the Superior and Premium packages takes you to a photoshoot on the caldera or to dinner afterwards instead.
How we work with your hotel
We speak with the reception before you arrive: which terrace or gazebo, at what hour, where the photographer can stand, and whether dinner can be served on the terrace afterwards. Most caldera hotels in Imerovigli, Firostefani, Fira and Oia host small ceremonies gladly, and several have their own ceremony spot; if your hotel has none, we suggest one nearby that does. If you have not booked a hotel yet, tell us your dates and your budget and we say which ones make a ceremony easiest.
Can we hold the ceremony at a hotel we are not staying at?
Yes. Several hotels and villas host ceremonies for couples staying elsewhere; we suggest the ones that fit your date and the size of your group, and the car takes you there and back.
Already married? Can we renew our vows on the terrace instead?
Yes. The same ceremony works as a vow renewal in Santorini: no paperwork, any anniversary, and the same sunset.
